Printpack Wins 2011 Silver FPA Award

April 29, 2011

Wyman's of Maine Wild Blueberry Juice with Printpack full body shrink sleeve

Atlanta, GA - On March 9, 2011, the Flexible Packaging Association announced a Silver Award for Printing Excellence for Wyman’s of Maine Wild Blueberry Juice. Printpack’s Labeling Solutions Division prints this full-body shrink sleeve.

Wyman’s recently decided to convert their 64 oz. juice from a glue-applied paper label to a shrink sleeve.  They also redesigned the bottle shape in addition to redesigning the label.  By doing so, they were able to expand their juice line into four different flavors.

Choosing a shrink label over a paper label meant that Wyman’s could update their graphics for increased shelf impact.  The new Printpack label offers 360-degree billboard space for bolder graphics, a resized logo, and more product information. Eight-color flexographic printing also differentiates Wyman’s from its competitors on the shelf.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Atlanta, GA, USA, Printpack is a privately-held manufacturer of flexible and specialty rigid packaging.  Employing 4,220 associates worldwide, the company operates 28 manufacturing facilities in the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Poland and China.
