Background & Printpack Solution: Maple Leaf has the largest meat processing application in Canada. Their brands are marketed in large retail stores in Canada. Maple Leaf was using traditional style deli meat packaging. There was a need to improve the end user experience, to differentiate the packaging, and protect the original quality of product. Printpack was able to meet these needs with Re-Seal It. Re-Seal It is a patented technology developed by MacFarlane Labels Ltd of Sweden. Applied to flexible substrates, the Re-Seal It label provides an innovative easy open peel with exceptional barrier certified by the FDA/USDA for meat and related thermoform packaging applications.
