Cold Seal

It's not just sweet talk. Improve your bottom line with Printpack’s full array of
cold-seal structures.

COLD-SEAL FEATURES

Our cold-seal is a water-based coating that selectively adheres to itself when pressure is applied.  No heat is required for seal initiation.  We are able to achieve a hermetic seal with typical seal strengths of 300 to 600g/inch width.  Cold-seal is FDA approved for direct food contact.

COLD-SEAL BENEFITS

Using cold seal allows greater line speeds compared to heat-seal structures, and by extension, protects temperature-sensitive products such as chocolate.  Manufacturers can reduce energy and maintenance costs by eliminating heat, making cold seal a more environmentally friendly option as well.

What can your business do with Printpack's Cold-Seal?

  • Improve profits by increasing line speeds and achieving greater output per minute
  • Reduce overhead costs by lowering energy costs
  • Gain peace of mind with Printpack’s technical and commercial expertise

Cold seal can be used in a variety of markets including breakfast foods, confectionery, cookies & crackers, ice cream novelties, nutraceuticals, and snack bars.
