Freshgard® Modified Atmosphere Packaging

Breathe easy.  Printpack’s Freshgard® packaging keeps your products fresher, longer.

FRESHGARD® FEATURES

The Freshgard family includes an entire series of bags and films with tailored permeability rates and a wide range of options, so its applications are virtually unlimited. We can meet your need for coextruded films as well as laminations, lidstock, premade bags, and trays. For consumer convenience, several types of film are microwaveable/steamable, and a variety of reclose options are available for multi-serving products, including an easy open, peelable seal. Registered anti-fog provides outstanding product visibility and showcases fresh cut fruit and vegetables.

FRESHGARD® BENEFITS

Freshgard films provide a broad range of modified-atmosphere packaging, which maintains the flavor, appearance and texture of fruits and vegetables for extended periods of time, without preservatives. Oxygen and CO2 transmission can be controlled at a rate based on each product's natural respiration chemistry, so aging is greatly retarded while freshness is retained and prolonged. Invisible microperforation technology limits risk of contamination to help protect consumer safety.

What can your business do with Freshgard®?

  • Increase sales by expanding your distribution area through extended shelf-life
  • Improve profits by reducing inventory with longer shelf-life products
  • Gain peace of mind with Printpack’s technical and commercial expertise
