Printpack Inc. Expands into Central Europe

Printpack announces construction of a converting facility in Poland.

The facility, located in Kutno, 150 km southwest of Warsaw, will be a full-range flexible packaging converting facility. The plant will serve the packaging needs of consumer goods companies across Europe. Construction will commence in January 2008 with the plant startup expected in early 2009.

David Read, Managing Director of Printpack Europe states, "The Kutno plant will be equipped with an extensive range of modern converting technology. We will be able to serve more market segments since our capabilities will be broader than what we have in Europe today."

"Printpack entered the European market via acquisitions in the United Kingdom in 1993," states Jimmy Love, Printpack’s Vice President-International Business. He adds, "Building a plant in Kutno is a key step in our strategy to expand our business in Europe. Kutno is centrally located in Europe giving us access to a larger array of customers than we serve today from our UK operations."

Dennis Love, President of Printpack concludes, "We are excited to be making this investment in the rapidly evolving Central and Eastern European markets. This project fits our strategic plan of continuing to expand our global presence in growing markets worldwide."
