ATLANTA, GA – Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible and specialty rigid packaging, has successfully completed a significant investment in new equipment and capabilities at its Bloomington, Indiana facility.
The strategic investment delivers multiple equipment upgrades that significantly increase efficiency and quality, along with new bag-making machines and enhanced slitting capabilities. This expansion transforms the Bloomington facility into Printpack’s Bagging and Pouching Center of Excellence, reinforcing the company’s ongoing commitment to serving the evolving needs of diverse market segments.
The Bloomington plant will initially target providing large format bags for pet food, while being well positioned to support additional markets such as lawn and garden, bulk food products, personal & home care, health & wellness, and other adjacent markets starting in Q1 of 2026. This multi-market approach allows Printpack to leverage specialized expertise across various industry segments that require high-quality bagging and pouching solutions.

The expanded capabilities are now producing a comprehensive portfolio of packaging formats, including stand-up pouches, Box Pouch® and quad seal large format bags. The investment also supports Printpack’s commitment to sustainability through its Printpack Preserve™ line of packaging solutions.
Featuring enhanced heating and cooling systems, reduced stretching and distortion, and superior tension control, Bloomington now houses the most state-of-the-art equipment in the U.S. These advanced capabilities produce crisp, flat bags that offer enhanced ease of filling for customers and deliver industry-leading performance.
Printpack continues to lead in sustainable innovations, offering recyclable structures designed for store drop-off programs and certified circular content options. The company remains actively engaged in developing new solutions in the design for recyclability (D4R) space to help brands meet and exceed their sustainability goals.
