Associate Spotlight Series: Meet Pamela Tarleton

A Printpack Associate Spotlight Series

Meet Pamela Tarleton: Customer Demand Analyst, Villa Rica, GA

When Pamela Tarleton joined Printpack, she jumped in with both feet. In just a few months, she mastered her new role and made significant contributions to the company. As a Customer Demand Analyst at one of the company’s facilities in Villa Rica, Georgia, she seeks ways to provide greater value and go beyond the ordinary while supporting her colleagues and encouraging teamwork.

“Every day is a learning experience here. I have gained new skills and expanded my knowledge of the packaging industry. I have also built good working relationships with co-workers and customers,” Pamela says.

In 2005, Pamela graduated from the University of New Hampshire, earning a degree in Business with a Marketing concentration. She has been working in the packaging industry since 2007 and decided to join Printpack after hearing great things about the company from none other than her dad.

Let’s dive into Pamela’s Printpack journey.

  1. Why did you decide to pursue a career change?

I wanted a better job, closer to home, and a good work environment. My dad has been at Printpack for about five years and has told me great things about the family environment and inclusive culture. His great experience was one of the reasons I decided to move forward and make a change, and I’m glad I did. It was a good fit for me, and I know there are many opportunities for growth here. I can see my future at Printpack.

  1. What do you do at Printpack?

As a Customer Demand Analyst (CDA), I’m responsible for supporting one of Printpack’s significant customers. I help forecast the demand, enter production orders, track shipments, and whatever our client needs to guarantee our product meets expectations. In summary, I’m the Printpack face to the customer. It can sometimes be challenging, but I love the collaborative, entrepreneurial, and innovative environment we have at Printpack. I have the opportunity to work with many different teams across the company – accounting, production, scheduling, shipping, planning, graphics – and I find that challenging and fulfilling.

  1. How would you describe your first months at Printpack?

Supportive, inclusive, and friendly. I’ve never felt so supported in a job as I did here. I love how specific people dedicate a good portion of their time to training new associates. That’s a huge help when you’re starting. Even though I have been in the industry for a long time, I had to learn everything about the system. They invested a lot of time training me, and I felt I had the necessary resources to succeed.

  1. What do you like most about the company?

Without a doubt, the culture. Everyone is welcoming, open, and down-to-earth. People offer help and support to each other every day. It’s a good feeling to know that there are people who care about me and work with me to make things happen. Teamwork is an essential part of our daily operations. I can always count on the team to come together when we have big orders that need to get out quickly.

  1. Words of wisdom to those looking for a new opportunity.

Be open to learning new things and embrace the challenges. Being the face of the company to a client can be nerve-racking, but my advice is to take it little by little; You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Look for companies where you’ll feel supported and valued.
