People of Printpack I Meet Cody and Steve

This month, our Spotlight series highlights the stories of two of our Rhinelander associates. Cody LaCrosse, Material Handler, and Steve Horwath, Plant Services, have both been in the military and both found new careers at Printpack.

Cody has been with Printpack for two years. After serving in the military for over four years, Cody tried a couple of jobs until his dad told him about Printpack. Steve has been with Printpack for one and a half years, after serving in the military for 14 years.

Let’s learn more about their career journey in their own words.

1. Why did you join Printpack?

Cody – I had heard a little about Printpack, but my dad was the one who talked me into applying. He worked at Printpack for a few years and really liked the environment.

Steve – I have family members who work at Printpack, and I had been waiting for an opportunity to join because of its good reputation. Printpack is one of the best places to work in Rhinelander.

2. You are both veterans. What skills were you able to transfer from the military to Printpack?

Cody – Being self-driven, highly motivated, personal, able to work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks at once.

Steve – Attention to detail. In the military you must be precise, everything needs to be clean. That’s what I do as Plant Services, I help keep the plant neat and tidy.

3. What do you like most about Printpack?

Cody – I love to work at Printpack because I get to do what I like, and my shift fits my family’s schedule well. Everyone here is family-oriented, and we have an excellent line of communication between associates and managers.

Steve – People are nice, friendly and welcoming to new associates. It’s a secure job, plus it’s indoor, which makes a huge difference for a city like Rhinelander.

4. Words of wisdom to those transitioning jobs.

Cody – Keep yourself busy, stay motivated, don’t let anybody steer you away from your dreams.

Steve – Keep your nose to the grindstone. Do your best, and give it 100% always.
